The Pinging Format

Use The Pinging Format as a networking tool.

Read on to see how to Ping your colleagues!

Use the format below to Ping a friend, colleague or collaborator.

Try requesting contact information from people you meet at conferences and meetings.  Ask them if it is okay for you to exchange Pings, or networking requests at a later date.

Paste the following fields in your SMS/text or email message:

PING Request:

Ping Type: (e.g., Networking, Meeting, Business dinner, gathering, etc.)
To:
From:
Location:
Date/Time:
# Attendees:
Notes: (e.g., sponsors, complimentary dinner, etc.)

Your Ping reply will usually come in one of the following (3) formats: 

PING Reply:

1. N = No
2Y = Yes

3.  CC#d, or CC#h = cannot confirm; CC#days OR CC#hours needed to confirm the Ping

    e.g. CC3d = cannot confirm, need 3 days to confirm

    e.g. CC12h = cannot confirm, need 12 hours to confirm
